ELIZABETH JANE BALL: William F., Edward, Bartholomew; William, Jr. Elizabeth Jane Ball was born 2 July 1814, in Baldwin County, Georgia. Her parents were William F. Ball and Elizabeth Gray.1 Elizabeth grew up in Baldwin County. Her father was moderately wealthy and therefore she may have lived an easy life and had the finer things of life. Elizabeth Jane Ball married at age 15 years and 6 months to John Marcus Allen. The wedding took place 23 December 1829, in Baldwin County. Where they lived and what the occupation was of John Marcus Allen is unknown. Their children were: William H., Julia, John R., Thomas and Markus. The ages or dates of birth of the children are unknown. John Marcus Allen died in 1836. He and Elizabeth Jane had five children in seven years. Elizabeth Jane married second, 1 December 1839, Edwin Mounger. Again, their place of residence and the occupation of Edwin are unknown. Edwin and Elizabeth’s children were: Sarah A., Edwin O., Francis E., Mary Jane, Selma, and Clara. Elizabeth mothered eleven children. Nothing further is known about Elizabeth, her husband or her children by this writer. Mr. Robert S. Wilson, 234 West 14th Street, New York, NY 10011, a descendant of Elizabeth and Edwin has a family history and genealogy. Elizabeth Jane Ball Allen Mounger died in 1882 and is buried in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.2
