MARY ELIZABETH BALL: James GM, William F., Edward, Bartholomew; William, Sr. Mary Elizabeth Ball was born 29 June 1842, in Steward County, Georgia. Her parents were James Gray Madison Ball and wife Eliza Ann Weston Spreight. Mary Elizabeth was the only child of James and Eliza Ann. James’ first wife, Nancy Boynton, died in 1838 and in December of that same year James married Eliza Ann in Stewart County, Georgia. Mary married James P. Walker, the date and place not known. James Walker was born 22 August 1836, place unknown. Mary Elizabeth Ball Walker died 13 October 1903 and is buried beside her parents in the Weston Methodist Church Cemetery in Weston, Stewart County, Georgia. Nothing more is known of Mary Elizabeth Ball Walker or her family.1
