JOHN BALL A John Ball, Parents and date and place of birth, marriage and death unknown, living in Stanford, Lincoln County, England, signed as a witness to the Agreement between Catherine Colleton /Collecton and Robert Ball November 13, 1694. 1 MEMORANDUM: personally appeared before me John Ball and Richard Warwick and swore they did see Catherine Colleton sign the above Agreement and John Thornburg was also present as witness. Signed: Joseph Blake. Dated 19 March 1694, recorded 12 April 1695, page 231. A John Ball, parents and date and place of birth, marriage and death unknown, came to Charleston, South Carolina by ship in 1697. He came alone. 2 There has not been found any further record of this John Ball. It is unknown if the above two men were the same person, but it is obvious that the John Ball, witness, and Robert Ball were related.
