MARY ADALINE BALL: William Baker, William F., Edward, Bartholomew; William, Sr. Mary Adeline Ball was born 18 June 1839 in Houston County, Georgia, a daughter of Dr. William Baker Ball and wife Mary M. Hines. Mary’s parents moved to Sunflower County, Mississippi, in 1847, when she was eight years of age. She is listed on the 1850 census of Sunflower County with her parents and siblings as being 14 years old. The family was living in Carroll County by 1854, the year her father died. Mary Adeline Ball married Payner Jones between 1850 and 1860, the exact date and place is not known1. Nothing further is known of Mary Adeline Ball Jones.
